HAUS DER SEEFAHRT
At the origin of Hamburg’s gateway to the world
On Nikolaifleet, where Hamburg built its first port facilities in 1188, the Haus der Seefahrt was built in 1910. For centuries, the canal remained a vibrant center of trade, closely linked to Hamburg’s rise as a trading metropolis.
Prominent anchorage between the port and the city
Located directly on Nikolaifleet, at the end of the historic Deichstraße, the Haus der Seefahrt combines Hanseatic architecture with a maritime atmosphere. Speicherstadt, HafenCity and the Elbphilharmonie concert hall are all within walking distance. The location offers short distances, excellent infrastructure and unmistakable flair.
A piece of Hamburg’s history, revitalized for the future
The Haus der Seefahrt combines tradition and modern working environments. With careful refurbishment, the historical substance is preserved and modern standards are being developed for future generations.
New work behind a historic facade
Flexible floor plans from the Fleet floor to the 7th floor offer spaces between 177 m² and 455 m². Bright open spaces, conference rooms and retreats create modern working environments with a maritime ambience.
